Public School ![]() Happiness through Helping |
Daily Reading Program is implemented by parent helpers and involves tutors listening to sight word lists and changing students' readers. This program has seen a rapid progression of reading levels whilst also keeping parents in touch with current reading strategies. |
Sign Language Lessons
are being implemented this year as part of our Languages Other Than
English (LOTE) program. Mrs Cathy Burton is teaching these lessons to
give students an appreciation of how difficult it is to communicate
without spoken language. |
Kindergarten Orientation involves Preschool students attending school one day per week, for six weeks during Term 4. It is a great opportunity for the children to become familiar with the school and for staff to learn about our new enrolments. |

Count Me In
Too is a practical hands-on mathematics program for Years K-2.
Students integrate with their peers from Moulamein Public School for
this program during Term 2 each year. Maths on the Net is devised by the Country Areas Program (CAP) and involves challenging open-ended questions for Stage 2 & 3 students. |
Music Lessons are conducted weekly by our qualified music teacher, Mrs Janine Spry. The students are learning to play a number of instruments and sing a variety of songs. The annual Swan Hill Eisteddfod and End of Year Presentation Night provides students with an opportunity to showcase their skills. |
Technology programs involve the teaching of eduweb (a computer-based portfolio), webservices (intranet email & chat), utilisation of hardware (camera, scanner & video) and integrating technology throughout all curriculum areas. |
