Situated 30kms west of Moulamein and 50kms north east of Swan Hill, Mallan Public School is the focal point of the rural area and enjoys the benefits of an active and highly supportive community. Together, teachers, parents and the broader school community work to ensure a safe, positive, caring and supportive environment that enables all children to realise their potential.
History
Mallan Public School was officially opened on 21st February, 1958 by Mr Wauchope, District Inspector.
The first teacher was Mr Bert Cleary, with an enrolment of 43 pupils.
Trees were planted by original pioneers of the Mallan district.
